Kooday refund update: I finally got it

This actually happened about a month ago. Out of nowhere, a message appeared in my e-mail box. It was from AlertPay and it was regarding Kooday. Here is what it said:

Your request for a refund has been granted and you may access your account to see the credit. The credit that was applied to your account is the 12.67% of difference between the payments sent to and received from the seller. The credit you received is the 12.67% of same amount you lost when sending money to that specific seller. Please consider yourself fortunate as not all members will be able to get reimbursed due to the nature of such programs.
Please note for future reference when submitting a dispute you are only to submit once ticket per seller/issue. Opening multiple tickets only results in delays and may reflect negatively on your claim.

So how much did I get back you might ask?

$17.91

That's a pretty small chunk of what I initially invested, but hey, there are people who lost thousands, so I can't really complain.

An open letter to CEO David Ruebush and Tagvillage.

The following is a message that I posted on tagvillage's official Facebook group.

An open letter to CEO David Ruebush and tagvillage.com.

I'm sure that a lot of members of tagvillage were also members of Kooday. In the light of recent events with Kooday, promoting tagvillage to potential referrals is becoming increasingly hard. Because of similarities between tagvillage and Kooday (keyword buying/selling), many people assume that the same people are behind both of these sites. I always argue that tagvillage is going to be more than just a search engine. I tell people that there will be a rewarding social network, a Bazaar, and other things that we might not know about yet. However, my main selling point for tagvillage is its transparency. I direct people to tagvillage's whois site, where contact info and pictures of all members behind tagvillage are available. This brings me to the point of this message. I don't want my referrals to be blind believers that tagvillage is transparent. Heck, I myself am just now realizing that the only picture of the CEO Mr. Ruebush i ever saw was a small square headshot. I'm sure that many people have heard Mr. Ruebush's voice via skype or a direct phone call or whatever it may be. But a certain Mark Huntala character also made a lot of audio appearances..

This message is not an accusation. This message is a call for tagvillage to assure its members that tagvillage is not going to be another Kooday. Kooday always said that there were programmers behind the scenes, tirelessly slaving over every detail of their 'search engine'. But were there any programmers at all? Tagvillage also always tells us that they have staff members working at an office, developing all kinds of different things. Well then, on behalf of myself and all the other current tagvillagers/ex-koodays.. can we see you, Mr. Ruebush? Can we see your staff? Can we see the people who are working on making tagvillage into a brand that we are all excited about and want to be part of for years? Can we see you and your staff so that we know that our hard earned money and time are not being spent in vain like they were with Kooday? Can you, Mr. Ruebush, get together with your tagvillage staff in your tagvillage headquarters and smile for a quick picture that will put a lot of minds at ease? An image speaks a thousand words, but the only word I want running through my mind when I see that picture is 'trust'. When I see it, I want to tell myself "yes, i trust these people." Can we trust you, tagvillage?

Another Kooday payment received in AlertPay

Lets take a break from tagvillage for a bit.

Here is my second Kooday payout proof.

You might remember my post from 2 weeks ago about the first ever AlertPay payment that I received from Kooday. Well, a couple of days ago I got another e-mail from AlertPay informing me that another $5.00 payment that I requested has made it into my account:

There it is, my second Kooday payment. I have 2 more pending. I currently make about $5 a week, allowing me to cash out every week. Not too bad.

Tagvillage Review - it's Kooday + social networking

*Update* I just read the latest news on tagvillage and registrations will not be closed during soft launch. This means that you can go ahead and register if you'd like. Since they are keeping it invite-only for now, you can register through one of my links.

Ever wish you joined Kooday at the very beginning? Well, there is a new money-making project on the horizon, and it is going to be pretty similar to Kooday.

The name of this project is tagvillage. It is currently in pre-launch. However, soft-launch is only days (literally) away. Soft-launch is going be pretty much like a test phase during which the developers will get a chance to see at how functional the site is and take note of things that they might need to work on a bit more. New members will not be able to register during soft-launch. However, once the site is ready to launch, registrations will open once again. I don't know if they are going to be by invitation only (like in pre-launch) or if anyone will be able to sign up. If you are quick enough to read this before the soft-launch, you may sign up for tagvillage right now through my invitation link.

What is tagvillage going to be all about, anyway?

Like I already said, part of it is going to be very similar to Kooday. Those familiar with Kooday know that Kooday is all about buying/selling keywords and accumulating profit-share-credits from it. Once a week, users are paid based on how much profit shares they have. This is a very very basic explanation of what Kooday is and how it works, so if you want to know a bit more, you can check out one of my older posts on this.

Tagvillage is going to have a pretty much identical keyword buying program. However, on tagvillage, keywords are called 'tags' and the two terms are actually a bit different. Tags are more dynamic and encompassing than keywords. There is a great article on the difference between the two in this Facebook group (you might have to join it before you can find and read the article. It is also available on the tagvillage site, but I am not sure if non-members can access the page. You can still try by clicking here).
Just like Kooday, tagvillage is going to let users buy/sell tags and get profit share credits. Users will be paid every Monday. How much you make depends on how many profit share credits you have.

This is where similarities between tagvillage and Kooday end. Unlike Kooday, tagvillage is going to have a whole social network side to it, where members will be able to interact and earn points from doing different activities. These points are also going to go towards your weekly earnings. Basically, tagvillage will pay you for being an active member. I cannot give any more details about this right now because nobody actually knows yet how exactly this tagvillage social network is going to work. Once the soft-launch happens, I will be sure to post an update about my experiences and opinions on tagvillage.

Kooday payment proof

Hey everybody, and Happy New Year! I finally have some free time, which means that I can make some posts now!

Let's start with Kooday. I've been with them since August and it's been a long, drawn-out ride so far. Their search engine is still not officially launched, however users are encouraged to perform searches in order to test it for now:

"Kooday is designed to pinpoint what you're looking for, through a stepped approach. This is a test period, and some results are expected to be slower than others. Please help us test our new features."

In the latest update from Kooday, we were told that most of the programmers are on vacation, but when they are back, we should expect a lot of important/exciting news and upgrades. One of these upgrades is the long overdue new design for Kooday. Like I've mentioned before, the registration page looks very shady and not at all welcoming. It makes Kooday appear like a cheaply designed scam site, and I won't be surprised if many members decided not to register and participate because of this scary design.

Which brings me to the point of this post. About 3-4 weeks ago, I requested my first money withdrawal from Kooday. Today, I finally received it in my AlertPay account! Here is proof of payment that shows that Kooday does pay:

I now have 25,000 profit share credits on Kooday, which earn me about $5.00 a week. The minimum withdrawal amount is $5.00, so basically I can request a withdrawal every week! I am currently waiting on my 2nd withdrawal, which should arrive sometime next week.

If you'd like to join Kooday, click here. Once again, don't be thrown off by the poorly designed registration page (this will change very soon). All of the interesting Kooday bits (news, FAQ, updates, messages from developers) are only available to members. You don't have to pay to register. You only pay if you want to participate in buying and selling keywords.

I'm off now until the next update! Cheers!

Another week, another Kooday payment

As usual, Thursday was the pay out day on Kooday:

I have been slacking with the keyword trading lately, so my Profit Shares haven't gone up much. I am only just about to break into 30,000.

All else is going well with Kooday, though. Their web-crawlers are about 80% done with crawling and indexing the entire internet. This basically means that Kooday will have their own index, just like Google and all other big guys, and unlike other small search engines who just buy a license or the right to use other sites' databases.

And that means that Kooday owns its own content.  These guys are serious about what they're doing.

Also, recently they announced that soon members will be able to customize their own reference pages. This is very good news because currently the ref pages of Kooday make it look like a really shady website, which I'm sure drives many people away from even trying Kooday out (see for yourself). If you register, however, you will get access to News and the FAQ, both of which aren't available to unregistered members. If you really want to know what's happening with Kooday, you have to read their news.
Don't know what Kooday is? You can find out more here.

Kooday launch delay

Today was supposed to be the day when Kooday would launch some of their search engine features. The site did go down for a while, with a message stating that they were making some important updates to their database. However, when Kooday went back live, there wasn't a single change noticeable on the site. No promised facelift, no functioning search engine, nothing..

Less than an hour later, this message appeared on the front page:

"Houston we have a problem" ... sound familiar?

Kooday's new website will be delayed.

Kooday needs a few more days to get this right. An update will be given late Monday or early Tuesday. The weekend will be used to determine a solution. We are on top of it and there will not be a long delay to get this fixed. In the mean time the site is back as usual. Mark will be available to receive calls again on Monday after he has been updated with information from the programmers. Thanks for the patience and understanding.

So there you have it. Now all we can do is wait until Monday/Tuesday to see what happens.

Kooday payment for October 21

It's Thursday again, which means that it's payday on Kooday. As usual, here's a screenshot:

I'm not exactly sure if they have switched to the new payment system yet. The site says that a news update is coming in a few hours, so we will see what they have to say. Also, the launch of some of the search features are scheduled for tomorrow, so it would be interesting to hear an update about that. I'm pretty sure that the site will also get a much needed facelift tomorrow. I've said before that I can't imagine how many people got turned off from Kooday because it's sign up page makes it look like a complete scam.

If you want to learn a bit more about Kooday, you can check out this post. I pretty much summarized the latest happenings there.

Kooday payment for October 14

Another week, another Kooday payment received!

I've written about Kooday a bunch of times already, so if you're still not familiar with this program, you can find more information by reading this post. This is pretty much a general overview of how it works. However, some major changes are coming this month. First of all, the search engine is set to go live on October 22. This is the moment all of us active Koodayers have been waiting for. The site will also be getting a facelift soon. That's good, because it really needs one. The "Sign Up" page looks really shady and I can't imagine how many people decided not to register on Kooday because it just looks like a scam. At last, they decided to re-design it. Good. Another bit of news is that Kooday will be switching to a new Profit Sharing Plan, which will be based on what words you own, not how many. In other words, you will earn way more if you own words that the incoming advertisers will want to link their sites to. So owning the phrase "paid survey sites" will make you much more than "Britney Spears", theoretically.

All of this is explained in much greater detail in the News section on Kooday. However, it's only accessible to members. I highly suggest you sign up and check out the News archives because they come straight from Kooday's founders and do a much better job at explaining how Kooday works than I ever will. You don't have to pay anything for signing up. You only pay if you decide to participate in Kooday and start buying keywords.

Example of Kooday earnings from a Diamond member + "Snapshot" FAQ info from Kooday

I took this image from this Facebook group dedicated to Kooday. Feel free to head over there, all the people on there are active Kooday members and can give you good advice.

But back to the image. It's from a guy that became a Diamond member on Kooday a while ago and this screen shot was posted by him in the group's page. Basically it's an example of how much money he's been making from profit share credits (Gold+Diamond) since he reached Diamond level. And the best thing is that the payouts are every week..

The image is kind of small, so I highlighted the best part for your convenience haha.

By the way, did you read Kooday's explanation about how the members are going to be paid their "Snapshot" bonuses? Well, there is an update. Kooday added "Snapshot Bonus" info into their FAQ session:

"Members in good standing with Kooday are eligible to receive monies paid to them at intervals throughout the year. The Snap-Shot-Bonus is in direct relationship to our future success. If we become profitable members will get their share. Kooday plans on sharing some of the profits to members who qualify for the Snap-Shot-Bonus and once a member has received their allotted portion Kooday will consider the Snap-Shot-Bonus as fulfilled and no further obligation should be expected.

Here is a breakdown of the possible maximum earnings for the Snap-Shot-Bonus:

For each Profit-Share-Credit a member possesses at time of Snap-Shot they will be eligible for $1.

Example: If you had 33,000 Profit-Share-Credits then you qualify for $33,000

For each Gold-Credit a member possesses at time of Snap-Shot they will be eligible for $100.

Example: If you had 1500 Gold-Credits then you qualify for $150,000 plus $50,000 for Profit-Share-Credits.

If you are a Kooday Diamond you will qualify for $500,000 for each $1000 you have in value of your KeyWords up to a maximum of $2,500,000. (There was talk about this being $5,000,000 but this has been changed)

Example: If you are a Diamond and have a keyword value of $5,000 or more you will qualify for the maximum bonus of $2,500,000 plus $500,000 for your 5000 Gold-Credits.

Example2: If you are a Diamond and have a keyword value of $2,000 you will qualify for a bonus of $1,000,000 plus $500,000 for your 5000 Gold-Credits.

Example3: If you are a Diamond and have a keyword value of $500 you will qualify for a bonus of $250,000 plus $500,000 for your 5000 Gold-Credits.

Example4: If you are a Diamond and have a keyword value of $100 you will qualify for a bonus of $50,000 plus $500,000 for your 5000 Gold-Credits.

When will the Snap-Shot-Bonus take place?

The Snap-Shot-Bonus will take place on September 30th/2010. Everyone out there should thank the Kooday diamonds for allowing Kooday to extend the Snap-Shot day from the rumoured Sept 22 to Sept 30th. We have (x) amount of money that we are comfortable to allot for this bonus and it has been decided in order to extend the date of Snap-Shot it came at the expense of our Kooday Diamonds. If you know a Kooday Diamond give them a great big Kiss! The main reason for extending the Snap-Shot date was to be fair to the members that are waiting to add funds to AlertPay. The process is taking many members extra time before they are able to get funds into AlertPay."

Wow I really have to put some work in to get to Diamond status. Apparently it's possible to get to Diamond by only investing $50, only buying $0.10 words, building them up to $1.075 by buying them from yourself and then letting them go. Buying from yourself saves money and also accelerates the process of getting Profit Share credits by a great deal.

PS: Kooday doesn't use PayPal anymore, they switched to AlertPay 2 weeks ago, so get an AlertPay account if you want to get into the Kooday game.

Who am I and what can I offer You?

I am a full time college student, studying psychology and biology. Like many of you, whether you click ads for money or day-trade stocks, I decided to earn money from my daily internet use. I mean, why not? I spend many hours a day online, most of which are wasted on looking at funny cat pictures.. So I decided I'd change my ways a bit - I decided to find potential income opportunities online.

When I began my research into the online money-making world, I was definitely overwhelmed. First thing I had to learn to do was to spot scam sites. Some of them are blatant - they promise you thousands, even millions, in cold hard cash for doing absolutely nothing. Those are ridiculous.. All of us wish that we could earn a thousand bucks with just one click of a mouse, but that doesn't really happen (unless you're playing online poker, of course ;). Then there are other sites, like survey sites that make you pay to join them. I have only heard negative reviews about those. Real survey sites actually pay you and are always free to join. I will be telling you guys about some of the panels that I am on in the near future. Then there HYIPs. A lot of these are scams. The admins promise you high returns with a one-time investment, but a lot of the time you never hear from them again after you have invested. Say bye-bye to your money. We all want to have a fat wallet, but money does not just grow on trees.

To really earn money online, you need to put in time and effort. There are no cheap deals for making money on the web. Whether you fill out surveys for money, complete offers, click ads, day trade, Forex trade or do paid research in hospitals, you have to put in time and effort. And I am willing to do that, and I am sure you are too.

So on that note, join me as I crack down the online money-making world and post updates on my endeavors and earnings. I will be telling you guys about many sites and programs that I am part of, as well as many that I am going to become part of. Right now, I am part of a number of best reviewed sites, so I will be updating you on how it goes. I will bring as many easy residual income opportunities to you as I can.

Let's make money together! And here is to making this one of the top blogs on the net!
